Simple Product ("we", "our", "us") is a platform for product builders. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at simpleproduct.dev.

Account Information

• Profile information from authentication providers (Google, GitHub)

Data You Create

• Boards, cards, and project data
• Documents and notes
• Feedback entries
• Contact records (people and organizations)
• Chat conversations with AI

Third-Party Integrations

When you connect third-party services, we access:

Google Calendar (with your permission):

• Calendar events and metadata
• Used to display your calendar within Simple Product
• We do not modify or delete your calendar events

Gmail (with your permission):

• Email messages and metadata
• Used to display emails and send emails on your behalf from within Simple Product
• We do not delete your emails

Slack (with your permission):

• Messages that mention or are sent directly to the Simple Product bot, plus recent conversation context needed to respond
• Used to let the Simple Product assistant answer and take actions within your connected workspace
• The bot operates only in channels it is invited to and in direct messages with it

Usage Data

• Feature usage and interactions
• Error logs for debugging

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the service
• To authenticate your identity
• To display your connected calendar and email
• To power AI features (chat, summaries, recommendations)
• To improve the service

AI and Data Processing

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to power features like:

• Chat assistants
• Document summaries
• AI-generated recommendations
• Automated skills — workspace-defined automations that run in response to events (for example, when an item is created)

When you use AI features — or when an automated skill your workspace has enabled is triggered — relevant context (your documents, cards, and related content) is sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic's data policies apply to this processing. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (Convex), with database backups stored on Google Cloud Storage
• We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and our infrastructure providers encrypt data at rest
• Access is restricted to authenticated members of your workspace
• Sign-in is available via Google, GitHub, or email and password (with email verification); passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing and are never kept in plaintext

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• With service providers necessary to operate the platform (hosting, AI processing)
• When required by law
• With your explicit consent

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Export your data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Disconnect third-party integrations at any time
